PRESTIGE & SPORTS CAR HIRE IN IBIZA
High-performance and exotic cars for the days you want to drive yourself
The roads of Ibiza and Mallorca are built for the right kind of car. The west coast of Ibiza in particular, and the coastal routes through the Tramuntana in Mallorca, are some of the more rewarding drives in the Mediterranean. The Solutioner's private transport service across Ibiza and Mallorca includes a curated catalogue of prestige and sports vehicles for clients who want to drive themselves rather than be driven.
The Range Available
The catalogue includes German performance saloons, Italian sports cars, English grand tourers, and a small selection of exotic vehicles that arrive on the islands only for the summer season. Convertibles, especially in the lighter colours, are the most requested category in July and August. Faster coupés tend to be more popular in the cooler months. For families, performance SUVs and luxury people carriers are the more practical choice.
Availability tightens significantly in the peak weeks, and the most sought-after cars are usually reserved weeks ahead. See also our guide to when a driver-led service makes more sense than self-drive.
Delivery and Collection
All cars are delivered to the villa or to the airport, fully cleaned, fuelled, and presented at the agreed time. A short handover walks through the controls if the car is unfamiliar. Collection happens at the end of the hire on the same basis, no queue, no return desk. The hire is contracted directly with the supplier, with the Solutioner managing the booking, the paperwork, and any issues that arise during the period.
For longer stays, the same car can be retained for the entire trip, or different cars rotated through the holiday for variety. More on the overall transport mix is in our guide to arrival and departure transfer arrangements.
Driving on the Islands
Both islands are easy to drive once the visitor is acclimatised. The road network is good, signage is consistent, and most distances are short. Local traffic enforcement is firm, particularly on speed and parking, and the cost of a fine on a hired prestige car is significantly higher than the cost of the same fine on a regular hire vehicle. The Solutioner provides a short briefing on the local rules at handover so the client is not caught out by something that costs more to fix than it should.
Insurance and Excess
Prestige hire comes with comprehensive insurance, but the excess on a higher-value car can be substantial. The Solutioner explains the terms clearly before the hire begins, recommends excess-reduction options where they make sense, and ensures the client understands the financial exposure. The team can also coordinate the overnight security arrangements for the car at the villa alongside the elements covered here.
