EVENT DÉCOR & FLORALS IN IBIZA & MALLORCA
Designing the look of a celebration, from concept to load-out
Décor is what turns a venue into a celebration. The same space, dressed differently, becomes a wedding, a milestone birthday, a corporate launch, or a quiet anniversary dinner. The Solutioner's private event production across Ibiza and Mallorca includes a full décor and floral service, and this guide explains how the design process moves from a first conversation to the finished room.
Starting from a Concept, Not a Catalogue
A good décor design starts with the client and the occasion, not with a portfolio of past events. The Solutioner's design conversation explores the mood the client has in mind, the palette they respond to, references they like and references they want to avoid, and the dynamic of the guest list. From that conversation, the design team produces a concept board that defines the visual language for the event, the colours, the textures, the floral character, the lighting tone, the surfaces, and the focal points.
Once the concept is agreed, the detail follows. See also our guide on how the location itself shapes what is possible, since venue selection and décor design are usually decided in parallel.
Florals at Several Levels
Florals can range from a few well-placed arrangements that establish the palette to a complete floral installation that defines the room. The Solutioner works with floral designers whose work has been seen in Ibiza weddings and private events for many years. They know the local seasonality, which flowers travel from Mallorca's wholesalers and which arrive from Holland, and how to design arrangements that hold up through long, warm Mediterranean afternoons.
For weddings, the floral programme usually includes bouquets, buttonholes, ceremony arrangements, reception centrepieces, and often an installation over the dance floor or above the head table. More on the wider wedding production is in our guide to planning a wedding on the islands from start to finish.
Lighting, Linen, Tableware, and Furniture
Décor is not just florals. Lighting transforms a venue more than any other single element, and the team works with lighting designers who specialise in private events. Linens, tableware, glassware, and cutlery are sourced from premium suppliers and chosen to match the concept rather than the venue's default stock. Furniture, from ceremony chairs to lounge sets to the bar itself, can be brought in to redefine an existing space entirely.
Production, Install, and Strike
A complete décor installation requires planning, transport, install access, and a strike plan for after the event. The Solutioner coordinates the entire production chain, the access times at the venue, the trucks, the install team, the live event running order so the décor is in place when guests arrive, and the strike that returns the venue to its pre-event state. The client only sees the finished result. The team can also coordinate live music and DJ programming for the same event alongside the elements covered here.
